“Goddamn PHARMACY!” is out now!
Okay, this one took a really long time to finally get out there.
Several months ago, a number of incidents in my own life happened to coincide with an uptick in folks in the various internet spaces I inhabit asking for help with urgent psychiatric medication withdrawal. Luckily, every one of these folks did get access to skilled one-on-one support–but in terms of written resources to share, the best things that any of us had to offer were Will Hall’s Harm Reduction Guide to Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs, published by the Icarus Project (link) and the Surviving Antidepressants forum (link). Both are fantastic resources for people who are considering planned withdrawal–but don’t necessarily have much to offer in the case of access emergencies.
I know a little about these things–maybe more than a little–so I figured I would write something.
“Goddamn PHARMACY!”: An Acute Guide To Psychiatric Medication Withdrawal is a layperson-friendly collection of coping strategies, herbs and medications I’ve seen be useful in unplanned psych med withdrawal. You can get it here.
